Perceive to receive.
October 22, 2010

Everyday in life we go through seeing and perceiving spells.
We often see the car driving beside us on the interstate. We often meet a new person. But do we perceive that the lady in the car is upset. Or have we actually perceived what that new acquaintance is going through a hard time?
Better yet, We have all seen the direction we want to take in our personal lives but have we perceived the necessary paths we should take to further our grasp of the vision we have. I know I haven’t grasp all of the paths and avenues but I’m trying too.
This all stems from a wise proverbs that states not all who see things will perceive them. They have no basis upon which their root system digs into. Seeing is step one, but step two is perceiving what you just encountered. Perceiving is part of a law that states you must recognize the people , things, and ideas in your life in order to act upon them.
Steps to perceiving
1. Slow down
2. Make a conscious effort to reflect on every thought.
3. Recognize the good and the bad.
4. Act upon things that are good and prosperous.

Homeless and Needy…???
March 16, 2010
This evening was a bit interesting, I was out in the Brush truck with the Fire Dept. (my full time job), and as I was on my way back to the station, I was approached by a ” homeless man.” Now I am by no means judging him or demeaning his situation. As I pulled up to the stop light, in the downtown area, a man made eye contact with me, pointed his finger and held up his hand for me to wait a min. He approached the fire apparatus and I rolled down the window. He then asked me if I was a fireman, I answered politely and said yes. From is point forward he worked a well rehearsed set of lines, stating that he did not mean to offend me by stopping me, he politely asked me for my time. He told me that he did not know that the local soup kitchen stopped serving dinner at 5. He was standing by a hot dog stand and stated the hot dog man was willing to sell him a hot dog. Next he proceeded with congenial push for money. Now before I go into the rest of the story, the man had a scruffy beard with a nice size spill of mustard and chili, from what I presume to be leftover from his last hotdog. In which, I am sure that even after one or two, he could still be hungry. My response, was to the kind man, sir I do not carry my wallet while I am on duty, and how I don’t have any money on me. Which is the truth and rarely do I have cash anyways.”
Now my point relates to personal and the business world. How often you do approach your spouse, your boss, co-worker, or the Lord with a need, while you have yet to clean your last meal off your chin or lips. It takes time for us to digest what we have just ingested before we can recognize what we need to move further. My thinking on the matter is that one should consider the fact that you may be full or your next idea needs more planning. The idea behind this is that when approaching a client, a friend , a boss, or your spouse go to them in the right timing. We all need to recognize that our seed’s (ideas or needs) need time to come into fruition. It doesn’t happen over night, it may not even happen with in a year, but in due time you will produce a harvest if you do the follow the steps below.
1. Plan it
2 Test it
3. Put it to action.
I hope to put these processes into actions in my personal, business and devotional time. I know there will be successes if I commit to these three steps. Just as the man asking for food, came to a complete stranger asked for money for the food with a well rehearsed set of lines, should have seen that his test results were negative. They may have been negative due to the fact that his appearance didn’t match the quality of his well rehearsed lines. Case in point it takes time to drive results and testing your plan will always allow you to fix major needs for the big plan to go into action.

Only a few hours left in the work day….
January 20, 2010
Only a few hours left in the work day, remember hard work is a good thing, but its better to smart work! You can chop a tree down with a hammer but its smarter to bring a saw preferable a chainsaw. If you can not find a way to work smart today, ponder the matter tonight and determine a better solution for tomorrow. You will be glad you thought through your work. This is one key to Diligence.
Im still working on it myself, but it is worth the efforts to produce success.

How awesome Christmas would be..
December 25, 2009
I was just sitting here reading, receiving text from various people, reading FaceBook. As Amanda slept this morning and now as she gets ready I began to think how sweet would it be if I could be apart of all my close friends Christmas day celebration. If they would have me! I just love watching the joy that giving and recieving brings to peoples hearts. Then even when times are tough and some people can’t giving a whole lot they still love the time they can spend together. Oh I have alot of joy in my life and to share that with all my friends and family and at every event regardless of time place or location! I really think it would be awesome.
Then as I thought about it, I realized that God is doing that very thing I wish I could do. I thought a little harder well even with Him at every event regardless time, place or location, how many times does He feel left out. There at your event, or family gathering, with the greatest gift of all, bringing all the joy in the world, yet feeling alone! I wouldn’t want to be left out if I was there, let’s not leave God out this Christmas. Merry Christmas!
